SUPPLIERS - PARIS
When in Paris, if Arc de Triomphe and Champs-Elysées are part of the tour, this shop shall be as well.
A good source for an overall on French mags and many options from Britain, Germany and all the European "bigs" of fashion (and a very good source of newspapers).
For the essencials, an obligatory stop.
And since you're in there, stop in the extremely well located and affordable bar/restaurant, as it is an inspiring place to do it.

POUND AND PREJUDICE
The same artifice employed in the Oslo factum was used here to bring my Dutch jewels.
From Amsterdam, 18 kilos of mags (plus two pairs of boots and a dozen of wooden tulips - I'm a tourist!) by the equivalent price paid for the Oslo parcel one year ago.
Concerning the price, a good deal.
Concerning what really matters: my special goods arrived - the luggage problem aside as bonus.

Places to do it
The MOST CHARMING café in the world.
(I really mean it)
Unfortunately my "acá" is not the same "acá" of this lovely place.
Barrio Morras, Asunción - Paraguay.
Delicious little food, delicious coffee (and all its combinations), the typical refreshing tereré, interesting people from all over the world, soft music of very good taste playing, various magazines and newspapers available, the perfect - for readers - high balance between table and (really confortable) chairs, and the most gentle staff that ever attended me - in fact, it seems impossible to find a citizen of Asuncion that is not, at least, gentle.
And just to ad a special detail: very reasonable prices.

A relative number of Paraguayan magazines, and many from Argentina, like in the other countries of the Spanish South America. Also some magazines from Mexico, Spain, and those Latinoamerica mags made in USA (those ones that put an Uruguayan, a Chilean, a Colombian, a Guatemalan and a Puerto Rican woman in the same basket).

The closest I ever find here to AROUND THE WORLD - it just needed more space, then it would have (almost) everything that Me,MyMags and I want.
In OSCAR magazine it was mentioned by designer Cris Barros (that is proven to be a mag lover) as being one of her favourite places in Jardins.

It was either mentioned on the latest issue of LOUNGE magazine, because of this gentleman that works there (but, is it possible that someone working in such paradise could ever be in a bad mood?)

Places to do it
As this place was one of the mentioned in ESPRESSO magazine, I also have to recommend it as a nice place to do it.

I go there every now and then during my lunch time - those days when Me, MyMags and I are company enough. Not my favourite cafeteria, but it works well as an escape from one of those crazy days of work.

But where are all the surprises?
Dazed and Confused, Vogue Australia, i-D, Citizen K... I can easily find them even in the newsstands close to this very place! It should get rid of the cds, dvds, best seller books and assume itself as a mag shop!
But still, being there I feel like Kelly Slater on the beach, or Eddie Vedder on the stage. There's no better place (although there being better kinds).
Please, give me something I don't know and you'll realize what true love is!
